Colors and Forms is conceived as an open, evolving work for solo performer. The piece is a homage to Luciano Berio’s Sequenzas, and in particular to their radical redefinition of virtuosity, form, and instrumental identity.
At the same time, this work attempts to move forward on an improvisatory level: not by rejecting structure, but by internalizing compositional knowledge and transforming it into a flexible framework capable of generating an infinite number of high-level realizations.
Each performance is understood as a singular negotiation between material, performer, and moment. No interpretation is definitive.
